March SEEK News

Progress Reports: I have sent out 2nd Trimester Progress to Goals Reports via Synergy Mail. If you would like a paper copy sent home, please let me know. We can discuss questions at Parent/Teacher Conferences or earlier if you prefer. Reach out if needed.

Parent/Teacher Conferences: I will plan to attend the Parent/Teacher Conferences that are set up with your child's classroom teacher. Occasionally, there are conflicts. If so, I will reach out to see if you would like an additional conference time. If you would prefer a separate meeting, just let me know. I will schedule separate times once I have received schedules from all of the teachers.

5th Grade:

Images of Greatness: Students continue to work on our big project in class. If students are absent or behind, they may be doing some work at home. Please look forward to May 13th. This will be our Day of Dreamers. Students should start planning an outfit to wear and possible props at home. May 13th will be the day they need to come to school as their person. More information will be shared with students soon. Please reach out as soon as possible if you will need assistance with an outfit. We will share "favorite foods" of our people as an optional activity/celebration the following week of May 18th-22nd. (If students are unsure of a favorite food, they can plan for something related to the area or time the person lived.) More information will be shared as we get closer to the date.

Make-up Work: I realize that many students have been out sick recently. If students miss one or two SEEK classes, I will usually send home some make-up work in an orange folder. If students are able to work on this work at home, it helps them not get too far behind in our curriculum. I prefer that students work as independently as possible on the work, but your support is appreciated. If there are activities they are unable to do, please have them return them to class so that we may work on them together.
