Hi, I’m Ms. Marisa!

Hello and welcome! My name is Ms. Marisa, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I can’t wait to meet all of my students and families and begin an amazing year together.

I believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and excited to come to school each day. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel confident to learn, ask questions, make mistakes, and celebrate their growth.

I look forward to making this a year filled with kindness, learning, laughter, and lots of fun!

My Teaching Journey

I graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

I have been part of the HHES family for a little over two years, where I have had the opportunity to teach both first grade and second grade. Before becoming a classroom teacher, I also completed my student teaching at HHES.

My time at HHES has allowed me to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff while growing as an educator. I am so excited to continue my journey here and to now welcome a new group of learners into my classroom.

A Few of My Favorites

When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time outdoors, especially fishing and enjoying New Mexico’s beautiful sunsets. I’m also a big basketball fan, love going to country concerts, and of course, I never turn down a trip to the movies!
