Birthday Treats

We would love to celebrate your child's birthday with them in the classroom on their special day. Birthday treats are welcome, but not expected.
(If you do choose to send a birthday snack we ask that it is pre-packated or purchased. Pre-packaged or purchased items help us better monitor student allergies.

We have 22 students
in our class this year.

Please be aware that we do have allergies to pineapple, pine nuts, pistachios, & cashews within our classroom.

Please be sure to reach out to me ahead of time to let me know that you are planning on sending birthday snacks with your child.

Weekly Homework

Each Monday, your child will bring home a weekly homework packet that includes math practice, reading assignments, and spelling words. These activities are designed to reinforce the skills we are learning in class throughout the week.

Homework packets are due on Friday of the same week. I encourage students to complete a little bit each evening rather than waiting until the last minute. This helps build responsibility, good study habits, and confidence.

We will also have a weekly spelling test every Friday. Your child's spelling words will be included in the weekly homework packet sent home on Monday. Please help your child practice their spelling words throughout the week. Even spending just a few minutes reviewing the words each day can make a big difference in their confidence and success on the test.

Classroom Volunteers

If you are interested in volunteering in our classroom, at school events, or for field trips please know that you are required to have a background check.

There are two levles of
background checks.

$12.00 - Supervised
This level of background check will allow for you to volunteer within the line of sight of an Osuna employee.
This does NOT include field trips.
$59.00 - Unsupervised
This level of background check will allow you to have an unsupervised clearance. This allows you to work with small groups, go on field trips, work in the workroom to prepare materials, and help facilitate P.T.A. events.

Both levels of background checks are good for two years.
