Meet your Teacher

Hi, I'm Mrs. Meis! I am so excited to be your child's 4th grade teacher this year! Our classroom is located in the West Building in room W-6. I'm looking forward to a year of learning, growth, and great memories together. 

Let me take a moment to introduce myself. This will be my 14th year in the classroom and my 6th year at Osuna Elementary. I was one of the 3rd grade teachers last year, but I am excited for the opportunity to be in 4th grade this year! 

I have 4 kids who have all been a part of the Osuna community: Reese (10th grade), Zander (7th grade), Tatum (4th grade), and Hattie (1st grade). When I'm not at school, my husband and I enjoy watching and supporting our kids in their athletic activities. I also enjoy going on early morning runs with my dog, working outside in my yard, and spending time with my family. 

I believe that every child can learn and thrive when they feel safe, supported, and challenged. In our classroom, we will build a strong community where kindness, responsibility, and effort are valued every day. 

Communication between home and school is very important to me. Students will be using a daily communication folder that will go between school and home each day, and I’ll be sending home regular updates through the Class Dojo app. I’m always happy to connect with you if you have any questions or concerns.
