Meet your Teacher

Hi, I'm Mrs. Meis! I am so excited to be your child's 3rd grade teacher this year! Our classroom is located in the West Building in room W-6. I'm looking forward to a year of learning, growth, and great memories together. 

Let me take a moment to introduce myself. This will be my 15th year in the classroom and my 7th year at Osuna Elementary. I was one of the 4th grade teachers last year, but I am excited for the opportunity to be in 3rd grade this year! 

I have 4 kids who have all been a part of the Osuna community: Reese (11th grade), Zander (8th grade), Tatum (5th grade), and Hattie (2nd grade). When I'm not at school, my husband and I enjoy watching and supporting our kids in their athletic activities. I also enjoy going on early morning runs with my dog, working outside in my yard, and spending time with my family. 

I believe that every child can learn and thrive when they feel safe, supported, and challenged. In our classroom, we will build a strong community where kindness, responsibility, and effort are valued every day. 

Communication between home and school is very important to me. Students will be using a daily communication folder that will go between school and home each day, and I’ll be sending home regular updates through the Class Dojo app. I’m always happy to connect with you if you have any questions or concerns.
