GRADING
All Assessments and some classwork assignments will be given a grade. I use the numeric grading system (1, 2, 3, 4), which aligns with the four point performance levels that are reported on the Standards Based Report Card.
1=Student is experiencing difficulty meeting grade level expectations
2= The student is nearing the expectations
3= The student meets expectations
4=The student exceeds expectations.
Other classwork is checked but not given a formal grade. I use those assignments to guide my teaching and check student progress.
Assessments need to be signed and sent back to school. These assessments and some classwork will be kept in their data binders, which your child will go over during their student led conferences.
