Students can redo assignments if they would like better understanding of the topic as well as a better grade.
Science does not require much homework. Students should focus on completing and turning in classwork.
Some assignments must be completed in order for a student to participate in labs.
Students are required to take notes on science topics in a spiral notebook. Any students who have difficulty taking notes for any reason can request a note-taking guide which reduces the amount of writing and helps students follow along with the lesson.
Students will not take notes every day, but they should bring notebooks each day to class.
Some notes will be cut/taped into the notebooks. Keep scissors and tape/glue stick handy.
If a student is absent on a note-taking day, they can ask for a copy of the teacher's notes to tape into their notebook.
Assessments include tests, quizzes, and certain lab reports.
Assessments are worth 70% of the science grade.
Students can redo an assessment for half credit back.
