Captain William Lane, USCG (retired)
Senior Naval Science Instructor
CAPT Lane was born in Atlanta, GA to Carolynn and Lieutenant Colonel Bill Lane (U.S. Army, retired).
He graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science. In 2002, he graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA with a Masters of Science in Information Systems.
In 2018, after 27 years of service, he retired from the Coast Guard. During his distinguished career he served for over 12 years at sea on Coast Guard Cutters and had the privilege of commanding three of them.
After his retirement, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for Geodesicx, Inc., a small government contractor.
He is married to the former Robin Breding from Albuquerque, NM. They have three adult children; Zachary, Joshua, and Caleb.
