How can I earn speaking money?

You can earn speaking money every time you say a sentence in Spanish, whether that is in class or recorded on Remind. For every sentence you will earn 10k colones or 10 euros. Don't lose them and keep them in a safe place! You may also have recorded conversations with friends and family members and receive credit as long as it is in Spanish.

What can I do with my extra speaking money?

There are a lot of options for using your extra money! Remember that extra money is anything earned above the required amount for each term. Here is the price list:

• Take out a 0 for a homework or class assignment=50 euros/colones

• Take out a project grade=200 euros/colones

• Carry over any extra speaking money to the next term

• Pay for any assignment=50 euros/colones

Extra speaking money cannot be used for tests.

What happens if I leave my homework at home, but it's complete?

Most of our classwork and homework will be completed using online resources in Google Classroom. However, if a paper assignment is due and has been left at home, you may take a picture of it on Remind and submit it to me before midnight of the day it is due or even better submit the picture of the assignment in Google Classroom.

Will I be able to resubmit assignments with revisions to earn a higher grade?

Yes! Google Classroom allows you easy access to your assignments, my comments and ways to revise your work and resubmit it. However, the original assignment would have had to be submitted on time. If you redo an assignment, please send me a message on Google Classroom or Remind letting me know so that I can update your grade.
