The show...

The Opera: The first Christmas This scene is what literally began it all. This is the scene that gives you hope. This Scene touches on all of the subjects on the first christmas. The Opera scene talks about when the three wise men saw the star and followed it to belen, when King Herod kills every child between the ages of newborn to 3 years old. Then of course the Birth of the Christ. Next. Let’s talk about The Musical: The Christmas. The musical is the scene that tells you about a family this family is trying to celebrate Christmas with their dad but he’s too busy at work. The Choir: The Choir doesn’t really have a theme it’s just a beauty which has to be admired in all of its glory.

Crime in Albuquerque

Written by: David Jimenez

What is being done to control the crime in Albuquerque? Albuquerque citizens want to know what is being done with the crime in the city. Albuquerque’s crime rate has been increasing as per, KRQE “Safe wise has named Albuquerque one of the 10 most dangerous big cities in the nation. The city ranked eighth, up from number 12 a year ago.” This means that Albuquerque is a very dangerous city and crimes are being committed everyday. The Mayor’s strategy to reduce the crime in Albuquerque is having more police enforcement on the streets and helping the homeless.

Violence in Albuquerque has only been getting worse in the last 10 years. The City of Albuquerque reported that poverty increased 46 percent since 2010 which made the crime rates also increase 5 times, as per KOAT.The most committed crime in Albuquerque is robbery such as cars, breaking into homes and robbing people. The murder rate has went up dramatically since 2014. The population in Albuquerque is of 560235 people the murder rate is of 12.32%, as per Mactrotrends. Lack of police officers on duty has always been a big problem to the crime in Albuquerque and it is a very difficult job and dangerous.

Officer Rodriguez from the Albuquerque police department says “The crime rate has definitely rose up.” Mr. Rodriguez says the most common calls that they respond to are robberies. The authorities deal with minors in a way where they can rehabilitate instead of instant punishment that will be hard on the children. Officer Rodriguez also said “The crime rate within these last years got worse and it is because of the lack of officers on duty.” Rodriguez also stated that since the city crime is so elevated people do not want to be in the police force. Also he said it was very common for people that end up in jail to re-offend and it gets worse for them.
