Photography I, students will learn the basic concepts of photography. How to take a better picture by using photography shot types, angles and rules of composition. Then learn how to edit their photograph using professional photography software, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Students will also be introduced to several different forms of photography and photographers through out the year.
Photography II, students will build upon what they learned in Photography I, and will learn new advance techniques of photography to help improve their Photography skills. This class will focus on improving a students ability to take photographs as well as their editing skills. Students will also have to submit work to art shows.
Photography III, students will continue to build on what they have learn in Photography I & II, by delving into different photography styles and techniques. This class also allow students to start having a direct control on what styles of photography they want to work with in the form of Independent projects. Students will also have to submit work to three art shows.
Photography IV, students will continue to build on what they have learn in Photography I, II, & III, but will focus on creating their own photographer style. Students will expand upon what they learned the years before by focusing on their own themes for photography through Independent projects. Students will also have to submit work to three art shows as well as the UNM Art Portfolio contest for a UNM scholarship.
All Photography classes have a Lab Fee of $60 for the year.
