Educational Assistants

If the students are our stars and the teachers are the planets, then our Educational Assistants are the gravity that pull us all together. Being an Educational Assistant is an especially rewarding position on our campus. Educational Assistants fill many roles. They support students in their academics, often working one-on-one, help students keep an even keel throughout the day, escort students around campus if needed, provide care for students who need support with feeding, mobility and toileting, and run classrooms when teachers need to step away for IEP and other meetings. Several of our Educational Assistants are Jaguar graduates who have returned to work here professionally. Some are studying to become teachers. Others have retired from a variety of careers and find they still have love and energy to give our community.
