Curriculum Map

Attached below is a curriculum map for American history. This currriculum map is designed thematically as opposed to the more traditional chronological approach. All of the units are designed to promote critical thinking, especially in regard to multiple causation and the situation of marginalized groups throughout American history. Every unit includes at least one day reserved for a lesson relating to important events or figures in Appalachian history.
