Healing Revival
Healing Revival
The Healing Revival was a brief period of time that happened in America soon after the end of World War Two. Starting in 1946 and continuing through the 1970's, historian and author John Crowder described the period in Miracle Workers, Reformers, and the New Mystics as "the most extensive public display of miraculous power in modern history". The four evangelists attached are some of the more common known evangelists that participated in faith healings during revivals and in my argument, these four key evangelists, used the practices that conjures used during slave times making them a more modern day conjure themselves.
Each block below, each being sectioned off with their Names and a photo of them, will go in detail on the practices they committed while during the healing revival. Along with the practices, the block will also detail their ministry and beliefs. The Comparisons and Contrasts page will go over the similarities and differences assignment between actual slave conjures and these four revivalists that students will work on in future classroom settings.
