The TIES Summit is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible virtual conference experience. Accessibility is integrated throughout summit planning, communications, technology, and programming, with the goal of reducing barriers and providing multiple ways for participants to engage.
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Following the Summit, participants will have an opportunity to provide feedback about the accessibility of the virtual platform, presentation materials, captions, and overall Summit experience. This feedback will inform accessibility planning for future TIES Summits.
All TIES Summit sessions will be hosted virtually through Zoom. The Summit is designed to support multiple ways of accessing content and participating in conversation. Participants can expect:
Live captions via Zoom during all sessions
Opportunities to participate through voice, chat, Raise Hand, and Zoom reactions
Cameras to remain optional throughout the Summit
Telephone dial-in as an alternative way to join Zoom sessions
Accessible presentation materials when available
Technical support during Summit programming
Clear identification of session times and time zones
Content advisories when sessions address potentially distressing material
Participants may leave and rejoin sessions as needed, and no participant will be required to disclose a disability publicly to participate or receive support.
Participants who require disability-related accommodations are encouraged to submit a request during registration by January 22, 2027. Every reasonable effort will be made to provide requested accommodations.
Requests may include services or supports such as ASL interpretation, CART or other captioning support, alternative-format materials, or other accommodations needed to participate fully in the Summit. Accommodation requests will be handled privately by the Summit Accessibility Coordinator.

Presenters share responsibility for making Summit content accessible. Presenters will receive a TIES Summit Presenter Accessibility Guide with expectations for designing and delivering accessible presentations. These include using readable and high-contrast slides, adding alternative text when appropriate, captioning video content, verbally describing important visuals, speaking at an accessible pace, and supporting multiple ways for participants to engage.
