Background

Our 6 week camps run every summer, alternating between international (Italy) on even years and domestic (New Mexico/Colorado) on odd years. We offer the winter course (Death Valley) in January of odd years. It can be combined with the first three weeks of domestic camp (New Mexico) to satisfy the full 6 credits of field camp.

Since 1911, field camp has been a staple in geoscience departments across the nation. Now required as a capstone course, field camp solidifies ideas learned in the classroom with real world experiences. 

Because of the cost associated with field camp, many students sacrifice jobs, take out loans, or simply cannot finish the degree track. We aim to give every student who wants to go a chance, without incurring more debt.
