You are allowed three (3) absences for the whole semester.
Three (3) late arrivals = one absence.
Missing eight (8) classes = failing the course.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING UP WITH YOUR ABSENCES.
COMMUNICATION IS KEY:
An absence will only be excused if the instructor is contacted in advance of the absence and it is for a substantiated reason, such as illness, injury, death in the family, participation in a university sanctioned event or religious observance (see statements below) and/or other natural disaster emergency. The instructor maintains the right to determine if an absence is excused or unexcused.
MISSING A PRESENTATION OR PERFORMANCE:
You will not be allowed to make up a missed assignment if you are absent on the day a presentation is due, unless prior arrangement is made with the instructor. If you are absent on the day of an in-class presentation or project you will receive a zero for that project.

Please turn your phones on silent and put them away during class.
Please bring paper copies of your text with you to class to maximize your training and skill-building as an actor. Working from a text on your phone uses a different part of your brain. I will gladly print out scripts to facilitate this.
Laptops may be used with discretion and consent of the instructor.

AI Policy
Use of AI is prohibited: Students are not allowed to use advanced automated tools on assignments in this course. Each student is expected to complete each assignment without substantive assistance from others, including advanced automated tools. Any suspision of AI will result in an automatic zero on the assignment.
