Dr. Stella Anderson is a Professor in the Department of Management at Appalachian State University.
Dr. Anderson has been a department chair, a faculty senator, the chair of the Faculty Senate at Appalachian State and a UNC Faculty Assembly delegate.
Dr. Sandie Gravett is a Professor in the Department of Philosophy & Religion at Appalachian State University.
Dr. Gravett has been a program director, a faculty senator, a UNC Faculty Assembly delegate, and chair of the UNC Faculty Assembly.
Both Anderson and Gravett have served as advisors/advocates (elected and informally) for faculty members in a variety of adverse employment situations, including on cases that went to hearings. Both have also sat on hearing panels.
Additionally, each has taken the lead in formulating policies for campus handbooks and for the UNC Policy Manual.
These experiences, and more than 45 years combined in the UNC system, have prepared them for this project.
