International Business
The Walker College of Business offers students the opportunity to develop international business skills through either a BSBA in International Business or an International Business Minor.
The IB major requires a minor in a foreign language, to be selected from Chinese, French, German, Spanish or other approved language. It also requires an international experience, which is generally a semester study abroad at one of our partner institutions or an internship.
Student Perspective
Maxwell Gordon is an alumnus of the Walker College of Business who graduated in December of 2017 with a BSBA in International Business and Economics and a minor in Chinese.
COB Faculty-led Programs
Each academic year, the Walker College of Business offers students the opportunity to study business abroad through short-term courses designed and led by Appalachian faculty. Courses range in length from 10 to 30 days and can fulfill major or elective credit for eligible students.
