CEL hosts regular workshops to help students learn more about leadership and how it relates to their personal development. There are always great options
Are you interested in taking your education beyond the classroom? Consider an Alternative Service Experience and explore a variety of social issues while working with communities across the globe. Whether a domestic program on the Gulf Coast or an international program south of the equator, use your time during fall, winter, or spring break to create deeper connections between your classroom work and the communities of the world.
CEL organizes large-scale service events that connect students to the local community and nonprofit partners. CEL’s large-scale events, including the MLK Challenge, Homecoming Blood Drive, and Don’t Throw it Away are opportunities to do direct service with a community nonprofit partner. Students can join the planning committees for these events or simply show up and serve.
If you'd like to be more closely involved with CEL, consider applying for a student leader position. They have several student teams that coordinate events and engage the campus community in leadership and service initiatives.
