Samara Carranza

School Counselor

I am very happy to be a part of the Peninsula Elementary team as a school counselor. I have a masters in school counseling from Portland State University and have worked in Portland Public and Gresham-Barlow School Districts.

I've worked at a range of schools including elementary schools, an immersion charter program, middle school and an alternative placement high school. I love this work, especially in the elementary setting!

I look forward to getting to know all students and families!

Hi friends!I am currently completing my masters degree in School Counseling at Portland State University. I am so excited to be completing my internship here at Peninsula for the 2020-2021 school year!

I have experience working with kids, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings in schools and nonprofits here in Portland, Vancouver, and Seattle. I also have experience teaching musical theater and student leadership.

It's an honor to join the Peninsula community, I'm so looking forward to creating connections with all students and families!
