Look at the reading data you have for your students via Teacher Dashboard. This would include EasyCBM scores and past Smarter Balanced Assessment scores.
Identify the skill that most of your students need support with and use the resources below to do so.
Some vocabulary:
Tier I Reading Supports - these are implemented at a building-wide level where all staff members own their role in teaching literacy strategies for all students and in all contexts.
Tier II Reading Supports - Students who have not responded to Tier I supports qualify for additional targeted instruction.
Tier III Reading Supports - these are provided to very small groups and/or individual students. The purpose of Tier III services is to help students overcome significant barriers to learning academic skills that are required for accessing grade level material. Tier III services require more time and a more narrow focus of instruction and intervention than Tier II services.
