WHAT is the required training?
- Choose a training venue (only one required)
- In -Person Training
- Participate in the PEPPER online training by registering for the course titled: PA1007 2019-20 Oregon Kindergarten Assessment
- Complete the required Reading:
- Read and review all OKA materials prior to assessing your students
- Materials will arrive in schools by 8/26
- Sign an OKA Test Assurance form
- If you complete the training online your form will generate by answering the embedded questions
WHO must complete the training?
WHO must complete the training?
- ALL kindergarten teachers
- ALL DLI kindergarten teachers (including both teachers in 2 teacher classrooms)
- ALL OKA school contacts
- Instructional support staff and/or administrators who will be administering ANY part of the assessment.
- In addition to the above required staff, any multilingual staff that support kindergarten students are encouraged to receive the training.
- In support of our SpEd teachers: Paras and Learning Center Teachers may be trained to assess your students
