Vision: Our goal is to create lifelong learners and to better support our students' families through empowerment of individuals with autism.
Mission: Our mission is to provide students with autism an education that enhances communication, self-regulation and promotes independence.
The RISE program is a public educational program for children medically diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Students enrolled in the program will receive a coordinated therapeutic and educational program. The services will be provided by a team of professionals working in conjunction with the Stark County Educational Service Center.
Referrals for the RISE program are made through the students home district Special Education Coordinator. Each RISE unit has six spots available for district referrals. We often have a waitlist for all age groups.
The RISE program uses behavior science and differentiated academic instruction to work with autistic students to achieve independence in functional life skills and academic achievement. Each student's needs are met individually through the MTSS process, collaboration with the IEP team, and behavioral evaluations.
