Cultural Portfolio

• Attend 2 (1 for AP) approved cultural activities per semester
• Collect proof of attendance (photos of you there are best)
• Write a 200 word reflection (add WC) paper in English on each (AP write in Spanish)
• Any activity outside of the UWHS list or the list below must be pre-approved by one of the UWHS teachers
• Cultural Portfolios are worth 5% of your grade (both WHS and UW for 350)

CONVERSACIONES: ¿Quieres practicar la conversación en español? Cada jueves a las 530, hay una reunión por una hora y media para personas interesadas en conversar en español. Fui a Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park una vez y parece perfecto para estudiantes de 103. Había 13 personas con nivel bastante básico. Todos eran adultos, pero me dijo la líder que a veces estudiantes de Shoreline vienen. Se sentaban en una mesa grande para hablar y muchos tenían diccionarios o papel para escribir vocabulario nuevo. A veces hablaban un poco de inglés cuando no sabían unas palabras, pero toda la mesa les ayudaba. Me explicó también que algunas veces miran episodios de Destinos.
