How to Place and Manage Book Holds
1. Log Into Destiny Discover Choose whichever log-in path you prefer:
Option A (Fastest): Open Clever and click the Destiny Discover icon.
Option B: Click Library Catalog Discover, click Log In, and select Clever.
Check: You'll know you're logged in when your first name shows up in the top-right corner.
Note: You are successfully logged in once your first name appears in the top-right corner of the screen.
2. Place a Hold on a Book
Search for the book you want.
Check the cover image—if the book is currently checked out, it will have a red OUT badge in the top-left corner. (Note: you can only place holds on books that are checked out)
Click Place a Hold.
The system will automatically notify the library to hold the book for you as soon as it gets returned.
3. View or Cancel Your Holds
Click My Stuff on the left side menu, then select Holds to see all your reserved books.
If you change your mind and no longer want a book, click the three dots (...) next to the title and select Un-hold. The hold will immediately be removed from your account.

September 25, 2026: There are reported issues with renewing books online yourself. Reply to the email from Mr. Henderson and he will help renew your books until the self renewal system gets fixed. Fingers crossed it will be up and running soon!

You will receive a reminder at your @apps.nsd.org email address three days before your books are due.
1. Log Into Destiny Discover Pick whichever method you prefer:

Check: You'll know you're logged in when your first name shows up in the top-right corner.
2. How to Renew a Book
Click My Stuff on the left menu, then select Checkouts to see all the books you currently have.
Find the book you want to renew and click the three dots (...) next to it.
Select Renew from the popup menu.
3. Check Your Renewal Status
Green Bar at the bottom: Success! Your book was renewed with a new due date.
Red Bar at the bottom: The system couldn't renew it. Drop by the library so we can help you sort it out.

1. Enter your ID: Type in your student ID number and press Enter.
2. Scan your books: Scan each book one at a time.
3. Reset the station: When you are finished, scan the barcode on the clear sign to reset the screen for the next student.
Hear an error sound? Don't worry! Just head over to the circulation desk and a librarian will help you.

FAQ about fines
I have a lost or damaged book, what do I do? 📖
Books that are lost and/or damaged that are deemed irrecoverable by the library will need to be addressed in one of the following ways:
Pay the fine. The fine is listed on your Destiny Discover account, and fines can be paid to the main office.
Replace the book. (See Mr. Henderson FIRST) In some cases, you may be able to purchase a new copy of the damaged book for the library, and your fine would be waived. This option needs prior approval FIRST.
I paid the fine, but found the book! Can I get a refund? 💸
You have 120 calendar days between paying the fine and finding the book to be eligble for a refund.
My account shows fines, but I still have the books, do I need to pay them? 🤔
Destiny (the catalog) automatically marks long overdue books as lost and turns them into fines. Simply return your books and the fines will be cleared.

How do I suggest a book for the library to buy? 📗
There is a clipboard in the library where you can write your suggestion
OR you may send a suggestion to our online form here!
What time is the library open? 🕢
7:30 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.
On early release Wednesdays, the library closes at 1:20 p.m
When can I come to the library on my own? 🏃
In the mornings before school and during lunch, when the green sign is out.
During travel advisory, WITH a pass from Mr. Henderson that you MUST get BEFORE school starts.
How many books can I check out? 📚
You can check out as many as you want! You are responsible for them and will need to keep track of every book you check out.
If you lose any of the books, you will need to pay for them.
