Open Google Drive
Select the "waffle" in the upper right corner (3x3 array of dots)
Scroll down to the NoodleTools icon (blue man)
Select +New Project (green button)
Name your project (include the topic)
Select Citation Style: MLA (MLA Handbook, 8th ed.)
Select Citation Level: Junior (A small set of simple citation forms)
Select: Submit
Many of the databases available through the Skyview Middle School library website provide complete citations that you can Copy and Paste into NoodleTools. Look at the bottom of the article, or How to cite this article.
Select: + New source (green button)
Select: Database
Select: What kind of source you found in the database
Select: Quick cite: Copy and paste a citation
Copy the citation from your source
Paste it into the box marked *Manually edited citation
Select: Save
Citation will be added to your sources
Select: Print/Export to open drop-down menu
Select: Print/Export to Google Docs
NoodleTools will create a Works Cited document in Google Docs
Select the project you want to share
Select: DASHBOARD from the navigation menu at the top of the screen
Under SHARING AND COLLABORATION, find STUDENT COLLABORATION
Select: ADD STUDENTS
Type in student#@apps.nsd.org for other students in your group
When you are finished, select: DONE
Your teacher may ask you to submit your work to a Project Inbox
Select the project you want to share
Select: DASHBOARD from the navigation menu at the top of the screen
Under SHARING AND COLLABORATION, find SHARE WITH A PROJECT INBOX
Type in the name of the Project Inbox (your teacher will give you this information)
Mark the box SHARE PAPER if requested by the teacher
When you are finished, select: DONE
