Leonardo Fibonacci was a mathematician who introduced Europeans to Hindu Arabic Numerals (what we use now). The Fibonacci Sequence of numbers was first talked about India prior to 1200, but it became popular due to Leonardo of Pisa (aka Leonardo Fibonacci). The numbers in this sequence are frequently found in nature, and our eye see them as especially beautiful.
