NSD Math Expressions Student & Family Resources - This is a link NSD has created so students and families can access the online version of our 4th grade textbook, as well as a complete book of the homework and remembering pages.

e-Books, Audio Books, & Non-fiction Databases - Our librarians, Mrs. Beavo and Mrs. Fiser, have a webpage devoted to digital reading resources for kids through both the Northshore School District and King County Library systems.
King County Library - In addition to browsing and reserving books online, KCLS has a number of resources on their "Kids" page, including booklists by grade, genre, and topic.
Scholastic Book Clubs - Use this link to place your book club order online. Our classroom code is J3GYB. All book orders are due the 15th of each month. Thank you!
Scholastic's Book Wizard - At this site you can search for a book by title, topic, or your child's guided reading level. Many of these books can easily be found at the public library for free!
Brightly - This site was passed to me by a former NSD librarian, Mrs. Pumputis. It specifically gives a list of age-appropriate books for advanced 2nd and 3rd grade readers. If you have older children, there is also a list for advanced 4th and 5th grader readers.

Plimoth Plantation Virtual Tour - Find out what it was like for the Pilgrims and the Wapanoag in the early days of the settlement at Plymouth, Massachusetts! You can also be a historian and investigate what it was really like at the first Thanksgiving with their interactive web activity.
Typing Club - This is a free, online resource for keyboarding practice. Students can sign in with their NSD Google credentials to track their progress through each level.
Dance Mat Typing - This site is another free online keyboarding program sponsored by the BBC. It is also completely web-based, but does not have the capacity to save students' progress.

The Center for Talented Youth (CTY) at Johns Hopkins University - This is a test-based talent search organization for students in grades 2-8. After qualifying based on a paid placement test, your child is eligible to participate in summer programs at various sites around the U.S. or in online courses.
