My name is Maddie Oakley. I began teaching in the Northshore School District in the fall of 2008. I have taught Kindergarten, first, and fourth grades. Kenmore Elementary was my school home for 9 years. My children have attended Moorlands since 2015, and I am excited to join the Moorlands family as a teacher! I am passionate about making schools welcoming places for all students and families. I build relationships with students and families through frequent communication, innovative technology use, and inviting students and families to share about their lives and culture outside of school.
I grew up in Western Washington and feel lucky to call Northshore my home! My husband, Matt Law, is also a teacher in the nearby Shoreline School District. My children, Lane and Laurel, are students in the Northshore School District. Our dog, Zoe, is a wonderful adventure companion, still going on long hikes at 11 years old.
I am available equally via email and Seesaw. I use Seesaw most frequently for family communication.
September: During September I am available as often as possible via Seesaw message or email. I receive notifications for Seesaw, but not email.
October-June: I use Seesaw during the school day with my iPad and work computer. I do not take these items home with me. You can email me or message me on Seesaw and I will reply by 4:30pm that school day.
For urgent matters, call the Moorlands Elementary front office at 425-408-5100.
