Barb Chessler, OTR/L

Barb Chessler has been an occupational therapist with the Northshore School District for 27 years. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics/Computer Science. After working for IBM for several years, she returned to school to get an M.S. in Occupational Therapy. Barb loves school OT! It gives her great joy working directly with students to improve their motor skills and working with teachers to support the students, including their sensory needs. In addition, Barb is a member of the NSD Special Education Assistive Technology Team providing support to IEP teams and doing on-site consultations for students' technology needs.

Lauren Mahr, PT, DPT
Lauren Mahr has been a pediatric physical therapist for over 13 years and joined NSD in 2021. She graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Mount Saint Mary’s University and a B.S. in Exercise Biology from UC Davis, California. Lauren enjoys the diversity that each day brings working in the district at the Preschool, Elementary, and Secondary levels. She finds it fulfilling to teach children skills that will help them in their daily lives as students (and getting to play games is a bonus)! When she’s not at school, Lauren is spending time with her husband and two sons, (age 4 and age 2) so it is kid-time all the time!

Kathie Skog has lived in this area all of her life including attending the University of Washington for OT school. She has worked in clinics, home health, hospitals, and now in schools.. Kathie has a 7-year old daughter and loves skiing, coaching adaptive gymnastics, and doing puppy foster care.

Kori Wilson, MOT, OTR/L
Kori has been an Occupational Therapist for 3 years having worked in outpatient pediatrics, skilled nursing and here in NSD since 2022. She graduated with her Master's in Occupational Therapy (MOT) from the University of Washington and holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from Arizona State University. Kori adores her students and loves to be a part of their school day. She loves to help kids grow and enjoy being a student as well as collaborate with parents and teachers in creative ways. Outside of work, Kori is a wife and mom to a son (18 months) and baby on the way. She coaches high school volleyball, is on staff at her church in Seattle and enjoys being outdoors with her family. .
