Dear Families,
I can't wait to meet you at Meet and Greet on August 29, at 2:30, and I am so excited to begin this year with our amazing 2nd-grade scholars! This will be my second year at Frank Love Elementary, my sixth year in Northshore, and my 26th year in education. I live nearby in Kenmore with my family. Our son Hudson graduated from Cascadia with his associate's degree this spring after graduating from Inglemoor High School in 2023! We have two grown daughters, one in Austin and one in Boise. My wife and I love to travel and spend time with family. We had an exciting summer spending time with family, being on the lake, and visiting our grandchildren as much as possible.
I would love to learn more about your young scholar! Please fill out our Family Questionnaire using this link: https://forms.gle/UdqwA2rfkBB2Aw1B7. This quick survey allows you to share about your child and family, as well as provide interests in volunteering or sharing in class.
I’m eager to get started this year at Frank Love and would like to remind you our first day is Tuesday, September 3. Wednesday, September 4 will be a full day with 3:40 dismissal. Our Curriculum night is scheduled for September 24, we will share the specific time when it is determined. Each week we will have Music and PE twice a week, and Library once a week. We will have a designated snack time built into our schedule each day. This helps keep our young scholars fueled up and ready to learn. If you would like your child to have a snack, we ask that you send something healthy to give them fuel to learn until lunch. It does not need to be anything big. I have a small supply of community snacks for those that do not bring anything. If you would like to add to the community snack supply, I’m happy to take donations. Individually wrapped and ready-to-go snacks that are on the healthier side are best. I usually stick to goldfish, granola bars, or fruit snacks for quick and easy distribution. You can send these snacks in with your student, or order from our Amazon Wish List to have it delivered to class.

The most convenient way to communicate with me is via email. You can reach me at jlingelbach@nsd.org. I will strive to reply within 24 hours to any questions or concerns. While I am waiting to hear about the beginning of the school year, I wanted to make sure families are given an opportunity to share important information!
