How can an elementary school counselor help my student?

As the school counselor, I am a member of the educational team here at Crystal Springs - I'm an educator!  I'm passionate about teaching students social-emotional skills and concepts that will help them throughout life.  I teach in various settings and formats, including classroom lessons and small group instruction.  I also can provide short-term individual supports on a limited basis. 

Here are some of the topics I discuss with students:

*DISCLAIMER: School counseling support is not a substitute for students who need more intensive counseling or therapy.  If needed, I am happy to talk with parents about the process of finding a mental health provider outside of school.  Once this is set-up, I can also serve as a connection point between the school and the outside provider.

About Me

Hello! My name is David Lammers, and I am the school counselor at Crystal Springs Elementary.  

This is my sixteenth year working as an elementary school counselor, and my sixth year here at Crystal Springs.  Prior to that, I was an elementary school teacher for several years.  I have three children of my own, and enjoy spending time with my family.
