Congratulations to all our Viking thespians who competed at the Washington State Thespian Festival! Our leadership team worked hard to earn gold honor status. Once again, holding on to their legacy as the second-longest troupe to annually earn this title!

Shout-Out to our amazing lip-sync competitors for reaching finals in the Lip-Sync battle. Congratulations to our amazing tech competitors, Windsor Luck, Leo Woods, M Velasco, and Emmera Little, who qualified for finals in the tech challenge and won first place in the props category. Finally, congratulations to the company of She Kills Monsters, who won the Best of Fest award, declaring Inglemoor Theater Companies She Kills Monsters as the best Dramady in all of Washington State, allowing them to compete their play at Internationals this summer!

What is State? The Washington State Thespian Festival is a 2-day festival where students and educators have the opportunity to attend acting and tech workshops to better improve their theater skills. There is a wide range of workshops to choose from, from learning the fly system to lighting design and board operation to singing and dancing lessons.

Troupes will also have the opportunity to present cuts and WIPS (works in progress) of their shows from the year to jet adjudicated by judges. Performances that earn a superior can be presented again at Internationals.  

Workshops: The workshops presented at state are taught by national clinicians, college professors, local theatre educators, and working professionals. Performance workshops include acting, dance, singing, auditioning tips, dialects, stage combat and much more! Technical theatre workshops include costume, hair & makeup, lighting, sound design, stage managing, rigging, scenic/lighting design, writing, and much more!

Performances: Watch performances, clippings, and WIPS from other schools in the state!

Showcases: Performers and Technicians who scores a superior at Thespys can audition to showcase their work at state. 

Honor Troupe Applications: Each schools honor Troupe present a portfolio of everything they've accomplished the past year, such as troupe participation in events, community service, community bonding events, and much more. The portfolio is then  adjudicated and given the title of either Bronze, Silver, or Gold Thespian Honor Troupe.

Tech Challenge: The Tech Olympics is a fun competition between technicians to showcase the skills they have mastered during their time in theater. Teams compete in events such as coiling rope, connecting the sound system, changing lights, and costume quick changes. The teams who complete the race the fastest move on to the next rounds.

Thespian Scholarship Applications: This opportunity is restricted to seniors only. Senior thespians can apply and register for an interview for a chance to be awarded a college scholarship of $1,000
