In 2024, students started a robotics club at Innovation Lab High School. They wanted to see if they could build a robot to compete in the FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC). That first year, they built a robot and competed well, plus won an award! More importantly, they learned teamwork, collaboration skills, and gracious professionalism.
The next year, the team kept learning and jumped to the top of the rankings, and it was thrilling! They enjoyed a winning season with 3 first place finishes and advancement to district semi-finals.
Each year a new challenge is offered and each team strives to evolve to meet the challenge. What will our team do this year for the FTC Challenge called BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX?
Season starts on Saturday, 12 Sep. 2026.
On that date, the new challenge will be revealed to teams world wide. Until then, we are working on skills, team building, and outreach.
To learn more about this season's challenge:
FIRST is a global robotics community preparing young people for the future. Its project-based, hands-on programs introduce students to engineering and coding in engaging, inclusive, and creative learning environments, where students work collaboratively to solve themed robotics challenges.

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a robotics program combines the excitement of sports with the rigor of science and technology. FTC emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and applying STEM principles in a hands-on, engaging environment. At a match, two teams are randomly joined to form an alliance to compete against another alliance. Their robots complete tasks earning points for their alliance. This is not a combat sport. Matches are fast-paced and thrilling! Learn more about FTC
The Robotic Conspiracy team is welcoming new members!
No previous experience or tech skills required. Don't like robots? That's okay! We do more than robots. You can be part of our outreach sub teams and still enjoy the fun! You'll be glad you did.
