Last year, a new robotics club at Innovation Lab formed a team to build a robot to compete in the FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC). Students named the team the Robotic Conspiracy. It was an exciting season for the new FTC team with so much to learn! They learned coding, teamwork, collaboration skills, and gracious professionalism.
FIRST is a global robotics community preparing young people for the future. Its project-based, hands-on programs introduce students to engineering and coding in engaging, inclusive, and creative learning environments, where students work collaboratively to solve themed robotics challenges.
Learn more about FIRST
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a robotics program for students in grades 7-12 that combines the excitement of sports with the rigor of science and technology. FTC emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and applying STEM principles in a hands-on, engaging environment. At a match, two teams are randomly joined to form an alliance to compete against another alliance. Their robots complete tasks earning points for their alliance. This is not a combat sport. Matches are fast-paced and thrilling!
The Robotic Conspiracy team is building a robot to compete in the next
FTC challenge which is called DECODE™ presented by RTX.
The 2025-2026 FIRST season is called FIRST® AGE™ presented by Qualcomm and is inspired by archaeology.
Starting September 6, 2025, FTC teams will investigate the power of the world’s artifacts and unlock mysteries in the latest challenge.
