Student candidates for Teacher Academy:

• Should have a 3.0 grade point average.

• Need Excellent Attendance-95%

• Must provide their own transportation to Teacher Academy Mentor-ship field experiences senior year

• Need a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor

• Meet with  the Teacher Academy Instructor before being accepted

• Will be required to complete all paperwork and background checks prior to participation in field experiences 

• Must maintain good grades, attendance, and discipline standards to remain eligible for the mentorship field experience 

• Will participate in Educators Rising club sponsored by Phi Delta Kappa
