2023 costs: $225 for lodge + meals
$85 for glacier tour
$20for mill tour
$330 for students of chaperones
+ $50 for gas to chaperones
$380 for students of parents not driving AND chaperone cost
Please pay by check OR cash to the office.
If by check and you're not driving - TWO checks, one for $330, and a second of $50 for gas.
We will be distributing the $50 gas money to drivers on Sept. 5.

Kennecott packing list
A field trip lunch for Tuesday with lots of snacks (i.e.: no foods that need to be heated)
Raincoat - nothing disposable, labeled ‘emergency’ or water-resistant (Must be water-proof) NO FROG-TOGGS MADE OF PAPER!
Rain pants - nothing disposable or labeled ‘emergency’
rain boots that fit and are waterproof - Bogs are perfect
Hiking shoes, avoid tennis shoes if possible
Light jacket, wind-resistant
Fleece jacket or pull-over ***NO COTTON HOODIES
Hat - wool or fleece
Sunglasses/ball cap
Gloves
1 pair hiking pants - avoid jeans for hiking if possible
Pants - enough for 2 days, NOTHING SKIN TIGHT
Shirts - enough for 3 days
Underwear - enough for 3 days
Pajamas suitable for public viewing
Toiletries to include deodorant
Bath towel
Socks - avoid cotton if possible and bring several pairs
A light day pack that contains:
Your assignment sheet, a camera, a notebook to take notes, bandaids/moleskin, Pencils/pens,
BIG water bottle
You may bring electronics for the car ride ONLY. They are to stay in the car and are not allowed in Kennecott, where cell service is extremely limited.
Kennecott trip 2023
Sept. 5-7, 2022
Cost: $380/students of parents NOT driving
$330/students of parents driving
$380/adult chaperones
Fees are due August 30.
This cost includes ALL meals, except for lunch on Sept 6 as we drive.
We will depart early Sept. 6. Our host is the Kennicott Glacier Lodge.
All rooms will have 2 to a room, with private bathrooms.
On Wednesday, we will split into two groups for a Root glacier hike and a mill town tour. In the afternoon, the groups will switch activities.
On Thursday, we will depart early, with stops at the Kuskulana bridge and the Copper Center visitor center for ranger talk and film.
This trip is always a memorable one. We hope parents can join us, as we can't do it without drivers.
PLEASE NOTE: no electronics will be allowed for students at the lodge.
