Saving Ring with Diamonds Given by Grandmothers

A man asked a woman to marry him. She said "yes!" He gave her a diamond ring.
They were a very happy couple. The couple went to a beautiful garden. They
wanted to take pictures. They were ready! They smiled.

Scientists found a cemetery in England. It was two thousand years old! A

group of people had used it for three hundred years. The scientists studied

their DNA.

科學家在英國發現一座兩千年前的墓園，並且曾經有一群人使用這座墓園長達三百年！

The DNA showed many people were from one family. There were grandparents,

parents, daughters, sons, aunts, uncles, cousins, and more!

科學家檢驗這些人的DNA，了解大部分的人都是來自同一個家族，有祖父母、父母、子女、表兄弟姐妹等等。

But there was a surprise! The people were not from their father's family.

They were from their mother's family! It was the first time scientists found

this kind of group.

The scientists think women were important to the group. Women made the group

strong. They married men from other groups. But they did not go to the other

groups. The husbands came to live with them.

Let the games begin! This year, the World Masters Games will be in Taiwan!
It's the world's biggest event with many sports. It's every four years. And
this is the first time it's in Asia!
世界壯年運動會規模很大，四年舉辦一次，今年第一次辦在亞洲，就在台灣!

This event has 35 sports. Some are team sports, like baseball, basketball,
soccer, and volleyball. Some are for one or two athletes, like golf, judo,
karate, sailing, surfing, and table tennis. They will be played in six
cities, in 69 places!

Most athletes are 30 years old or older. The oldest is a badminton player

Many people around the world enjoy swimming and playing in the ocean. They play sports and games. They go surfing, sailing, and snorkeling!

But some students in Kenting are learning how to enjoy the ocean safely. Their teacher thinks everyone should learn!

These students are ten years old. Their teacher shows them how to breathe when they're in the water. He teaches them how to float on the water and swim.
