In Guangfu Township in Hualien, there is a very old village. It's Taibalang
Tribal Village. People of the Amis tribe live there.

In the Amis language, "Taibalang" means "crab." The village was named for the

A two-year-old bear in a U.S. city needed help. His head was in a big plastic
jar. He could not take the jar off. Aww … Poor bear!
有一頭兩歲的熊，牠的頭被卡在透明塑膠罐裡。牠沒辦法把罐子弄掉，需要幫忙！

Why was the bear's head in the jar? Nobody knows. Maybe the jar had some
snacks in it. Maybe he ate the snacks.

The bear could drink some water. But he could not eat. He became very thin.
He was about 32 kilograms. Most two-year-old bears are 68 kilograms!

For eleven days, people saw this bear walking around. They called the city.
City workers tried to find him. But he walked a lot. He walked about 80

Finally, the workers found the bear. They gave him medicine. It made him
sleep. Then, they took the jar off of his head.
