Families pay to recycle their food waste. They pay about 200 Taiwan dollars a

In Guangfu Township in Hualien, there is a very old village. It's Taibalang
Tribal Village. People of the Amis tribe live there.
花蓮光復的太巴塱（ㄌㄤˇ）部落中住著許多阿美族人。

The village is next to two rivers. They are full of crabs!
部落旁有兩條河，河中很多螃蟹。

In the Amis language, "Taibalang" means "crab." The village was named for the
crabs in the rivers.

Taibalang has many old wood carvings. These are pictures cut into wood. There
