Thank you for your interest in participating in the ARC Kaneko Gallery fashion show as part of the AAUW annual scholarship celebration. This year we are highlighting the influence and relevance of the women's suffragist movement to the current day.
The Women's Suffrage movement (past and/or present) is the inspiration for this design opportunity. We encourage individual's interpretation; all designs whether it be feminine, masculine, or gender-neutral are welcomed. We strive to create a diverse community and welcome all student persons to participate.
This show will be completely online, to accommodate social distancing during this pandemic. Please review the guidelines below, follow the link at the bottom of the page, and use your Canvas email address to log in to the online submission page. If you have additional questions, contact arcfashnclub@gmail.com.
Each student may submit up to four original designs that they have constructed. We encourage all levels of participation. We ask that all designs that are illustrated or sewn by the person or persons participating follow the guidelines of inspiration.
The use of commercial patterns, slopers, or blocks are allowed.
If you would like to include images of your storyboard, sketches or other forms of inspiration that were a part of your process, there is space at the end of the submission form. If you would like to submit additional work please contact arcfashnclub@gmail.com.
Your submissions should be high-quality images or videos, suitable for display on our website.
Image size and resolution should be at least 72 ppi (preferably 300 dpi), and no larger than 10 MB per piece. These can be taken with a smartphone or DSLR. Video should be 720p resolution, and a maximum size of 100 MB.
Please label your files with your last name, underscore, and a number. For example: Wood_1.jpg or Smith_1_View_3.jpg. This is very important so we can properly title your work.
The submissions should not have distracting backgrounds.
