2023 Online Student Competition Exhibition
This semester, the American River College Student Art Show will be completely online! We look forward to seeing what you have been creating and hope that you will consider submitting to this free student competition. This exhibition is open to students who are currently enrolled in ARC or who were enrolled at ARC in the spring, summer, or fall of 2022.
Each student can submit up to three pieces of original work.
All visual art media is accepted, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, jewelry, digital art, fiber arts, and fashion. Video and interactive performances are not accepted for this show.
Your submission images should be high-quality JPEGs, suitable for redisplay on our website.
The image size and resolution should be at least 72 dpi (preferably 300 dpi), and no larger than 10 MB of images per piece. Here is a link to "Image Size" a free app that lets you change the size of your image easily. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/image-size/id670766542
The images should be primarily of your work and not have distracting backgrounds. For two-dimensional works, please crop out the background so the photo you send only features your piece. For three-dimensional works, please keep the background in your photo as plain as possible.
For two-dimensional works, please upload only one image per piece.
For three-dimensional works, you may upload up to three images per piece, as long as they are in total no larger than 10 MB.
The work you submit should be no older than 2021.
Basic information about you: your E-services email address and password (also used with Canvas), artist name, contact information, etc. If you are having difficulty logging in, the Los Rios Information Technology Help Desk is available to assist with passwords during business hours at 916-568-3012, option 5.
Detailed information about each piece of your work, including the title, medium, dimensions, year, and price.

The website of accepted works will go live no later than April 21st, 2023 and a link to the online gallery will be sent out to everyone by email. There will be cash awards and purchase awards and winners of the awards will be announced on April 28th by email.
