Edpuzzle Originals are even more useful when you can apply filters to find exactly what you’re looking for, even videos in another language!

Last week we mentioned that these Originals are short, flexible, and full of visuals. We know these videos have been created by the Edpuzzle staff and are aligned to standards. Being able to find and use these videos directly on Edpuzzle can save you time when you are looking for content that is aligned to your curriculum.

WHAT IT IS

Edpuzzle Originals are a library of high-quality, premade video lessons intended to lighten the content creation load for teachers! They are short, flexible, and full of visuals. They also include premade questions, so all you have to do is assign the video to your class! Currently, Edpuzzle Originals are available for math, ELA, science, social studies, financial literacy, and more! Videos are available for elementary, middle, and high school.

 

WHY WE THINK YOU’LL LIKE IT

When using a new edtech tool, it can be tough to know where to begin. We love the originals because it gives you an entry point into using Edpuzzle, allowing you (and students!) to get used to using the tool before investing more heavily into content creation. Using the Originals is a great “foot in the door!”

Edpuzzle is a video hosting site that empowers students to take an active role in their learning. 


WHY WE THINK YOU’LL LIKE IT

Edpuzzle has hundreds of premade videos ready to share with students. These videos have questions embedded in them already, and space for you to add your own questions. These videos enable students to check for understanding, as well as move at their own pace.

This tool help you get off that blank page. This could be a great way to generate some generic report card comments that you can use multiple times as you are entering student grades. Or if you’re stuck on how to say something, this tool can help give some suggestions!

Wondering how else you can check for understanding through questioning? Looking for a mix of basic recall and critical thinking questions? Try out this generator to spark ideas!

💡Pro tip: A prompt box will pop up after you hit “generate.” Use this to ask the chatbot to “rewrite using more common vocabulary” or “make it more concise” to make the questions more student-friendly. “Rewrite using more common vocabulary” is a great prompt for generating questions that are multilingual learner-friendly.
