 Elections and First Meeting

Our annual School Council election and first meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 30th, in the PECI Library, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

All PECI parents are welcome to join our School Council and/or attend our meetings.  Our election will set this year's voting membership and determine the executive (Chair/Co-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer).

Anyone interested in running for Council, or nominating someone to the Council, can do so using the nomination forms available in the main office.  Nominations will be open from September 3rd-26th.  

January Update

School Council January Update:

School Council are preparing for the following events:

1. Speaker Series featuring guest speaker Mandi Hickman, MSW, RSW. This event will be hosted at PECI, and open to all feeder schools,  on Tuesday April 8th at 6:00pm. Stay tuned for more information.

2. Fun Fair 2025 will be at PECI on Thursday May 22nd.  Please reach out to doyle.leslie@hotmail.com if you would like to help with the planning or event activities.

Thank you to all the families who participated in the Holiday Fundraiser, we raised just over $2000 and were able to order 61 new elementary pinnies! These should be available to our Junior Panthers in the spring.

October Update

Our second School Council meeting took place on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024.  Discussion topics included:

• kickoff for our Holiday Wreath/Planter fundraiser, to support the purchase of new sports pinnies for our elementary sports teams

• setting fundraising goals for the 2024-25 school year - with our main focus being yard/grounds improvements

• the development of a "Foods Committee", to look at potential lunch day options which align with PPM 170

• long range planning for our Spring Fun Fair

• Council support for the Panther Studio (to support the collection and organization of donations, as well as to oversee times for families to attend)

• completing a PRO Grant application to support a speaker series for our families
