Message from ICA:

We are now distributing food through a “drive-up” model. ICA’s lobby is closed. To receive food, make an appointment, come to the front door to check in, and then head back to your car to wait. ICA staff and volunteers will pre-pack bags of groceries for all clients. Please remain in your car rather than coming into the food shelf, and ICA personnel will place all items in your car. Emergency bags will also be available for all in need.

At this time, all financial and employment services will still continue, though we will be conducting all meetings and inquiries via email or phone. To be connected with our case managers Jessie and Krista or our employment consultant Kerri, please call our front desk at 952.938.0729.

If you have specific dietary needs, please let the front desk know when you make your appointment. We are also providing kids’ bags now that local schools have closed. These bags contain additional kid’s food to help replace the breakfast and/or lunch they’d normally receive at school.

When you call to make an appointment, we will ask you the following questions:

• Do you have children that need diapers?

• Do you need baby food? (If available)

• Do you need pet food? (if available)

• Number of children between ages 5-18?

• Are you diabetic or gluten free? How many people in household need this? (If available)

• Pick 2 out of 3 meat choices: chicken, beef, or pork (as available)

When you arrive at K-Tel (11588 K-Tel Drive, Minnetonka), please do the following:

• Come to the front door at our K-Tel location (11588 K-Tel Drive). Do not enter, but provide ICA staff with your name and description of your car.

• Drive car to donation door and open door, people will put bags in car.

Food Quantity: Will be very similar to shopping amount. Bread, fresh produce, meat, canned goods, frozen food, etc.

Personal Items: Everyone will receive one roll of toilet paper.

We will continue to offer emergency bags if you need them. Emergency bags are pre-packaged bags of non-perishable food.
