English 10

about english 10

English 10 is a language arts and literature course designed to continue tenth grade students' instruction in reading comprehension, literary analysis, and upper-level writing skills. The students will interact with a wide variety of texts and will be challenged to not only read these texts, but also form connections between the texts and facets of the real world they are both familiar with and, as of yet, unfamiliar with. It is my hope that students will emerge from English 10 as questioners and interpreters of the written word, enthusiastic writers, confident speakers, and informed citizens.
