I grew up in Lisle, Illinois, and graduated from Bradley University in 2005 with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Math. I began my teaching career in 7th grade math at Central Junior High School here in East Peoria, Illinois. After five years of teaching 7th grade, I made a move to 6th-grade math. In December 2010, I earned my Master's Degree in STEM Education, from Bradley University. I spent a total of thirteen years teaching math at CJHS before I became the East Peoria District 86 Technology Specialist and Assessment Coordinator in 2018-2019. I'm excited to help teachers throughout the district incorporate technology into their classrooms in fun and innovative ways!
In 2011, I married my husband Jim. We live in Pekin, Illinois with our dog Wyatt, where we love to spend time outside. I love traveling, eating out, spending time with my family and friends, growing closer to Jesus, and playing with my dog Wyatt.
This past summer, I taught 3rd grade robotics enrichment for our district using Sphero Mini Robots. I love helping teachers and students with anything technology-related! Need help or have an idea you want a thought partner on? Let me know!
