“The majority of high school students, if not all” (Woehrman 3).
Students are in desperate need of help in deciding their college major. They also feel the need to be prepared and have sufficient resources. When students are provided these resources, they will be able to make better choices about post-high school.
Where does this occur locally?
We conducted a survey, and anonymously asked students at East Ridge High school questions regarding our problem.
We asked students If they know what they want to go to college for, and our results came back as follows:
37.5% of people said yes
42.9% of people said kind of
21.4% of people said no.
We also asked students if they feel rushed to decide what they want to do for the rest of their life. Our results came back as follows:
61.9% of people said yes
33.3% of people said Kind of
4.8% of people said no.
