PSEO

PSEO  is a program that allows 10-12th grade high school students to take college courses while in high school .  Most classes are taken on the campus of a college, however some colleges also offer online opportunities.  All students must meet certain qualifications in order to participate and having good grades is key to this opportunity.

PSEO REGISTRATION STEPS FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

TIMELINE for PSEO

JANUARY: ATTEND MANDATORY PSEO INFORMATION SESSION 

• • Counselors will host a MANDATORY PSEO informational meeting on Wednesday, January 22nd at 6:00pm at Park Center in the Auditorium. Students MUST attend this session if they plan to do PSEO next year.  Parents/Guardians are strongly  encouraged to attend as well. We will be videotaping the session for those of  you who cannot attend the in-person meeting. 

FEBRUARY-MARCH: COMPLETE REQUIRED FORMS 

• Apply for PSEO on college website (NOTE THEIR APPLICATION DEADLINES- NHCC AND U OF M ARE BOTH APRIL 15, 2025)

• Request your transcript be sent through Parchment 

• Review PSEO expectation with family and sign PSEO Agreement Form (see PSEO Forms Library below)

• Fill out Notice of Student Registration Form (NOSR)- also called the "State Form" or the "3-Part Form" (see PSEO Forms Library below)

• Schedule meeting with your high school counselor and bring completed forms      

MARCH: BEGIN COLLEGE REGISTRATION

• Attend college orientation at the college once you are accepted

• Take placement exams (Accuplacer) if required

• Register for college classes

MAY 30: Firm deadline to notify your counselor of your intent to participate for fall term.

AUGUST:

• Meet with your high school counselor to review college course selections and adjust Park Center schedule as needed. 

OCTOBER: 

• Meet with your counselor to plan second semester courses. You will need to complete a new NOSR form at that time.

OCT. 30: Firm deadline to notify your counselor of your intent to participate for spring term. ***Please note that Spring term only enrollments can be tricky, as many core classes at PCSH are full year courses. Early communication with your school counselor is recommended for successful spring term enrollment.
