Meet Mrs. Leanos-Nelson

Hello! Bienvenidos! Welcome to our fabulous 4th grade site. My name is Mrs. Leanos-Nelson. I am beyond excited to work with and learn alongside your child.

I received both my masters and B.A. from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in Elementary Education and Curriculum and Instruction. I co-taught at Earle Brown Elementary for an entire year in fifth grade. I have taught 5th grade for one year and 4th grade for 2 years at Palmer Lake.

I became an educator because as a child I was a student who struggled and felt disconnected with school. It was my parents and a caring teacher, who helped me to see that I was capable of achieving anything I set my mind to. Those experiences allowed me to see that as an educator my role is vital when it comes to helping my students achieve their full potential.
